Creating Activity and Session offering different Credit types and one of them with Self Assessment

When there is no Self Assessment involved every credit including MOCs are treated like any other Credit types. When there is a Session offering two different Credit types, for example AMA and ABIM and you want a ABIM Credit claimers  to take a Self Assessment follow the below detailed set up process.

Create the Activity like you would for any activity type. Click on 'Manage Certificates' under the Activity setup options.

Add all the certificates to the Activity. In our example both CME and ABIM.
All the certificates you add are listed as shown below.

Click on 'Meeting Times' under the Activity setup options.

Select Parent = 'View CME' to set the deadline schedule. This deadline controls the visibility of the Session for the front end user. Activity set up is done.

Note:  When there is a credit issued for taking the Self Assessment you need two sessions  - One Main Session(Claimable Session) and one Self Assessment Session

Main Session (Claimable Session) :

Click on 'Add New' under Sessions/Events and create a Session like you would for any activity type.

On the MAIN Session, Manage Accreditations - Add the credit types/amounts for all of the Credit Types including the Self Assessment credits offered for the Session Audience.

The sessions should be the maximum credits issued for the main session. This includes both regular and self-assessment credits. Changes to the credits after the accreditation credit are added would need to be done under the 'Manage Accreditations" section also.

Self Assessment Session:

To create a Self Assessment session you can either duplicate the general session you have just created or click on 'Session/Events' and
click 'Add New' like you would create a new one. This session allows the Self Assessment Credit seekers to take their pre and post tests.

On the MOC/Self Assessment Session, Manage Accreditations - Add only the Self Assessment credit types offered for the Session Audience.

When creating the MOC/Assessment session:
  1. Change the name if you have duplicated it.
  2. Set the "Type" to the MOC/self-assessment type for your site.
  3. Set the credit amount to the self-assessment credit amount
  4. Set the pre-test and post-test required to get the self-assessment credit.

After selecting the posttest and saving the form, the link to "Manage MOC Relationships" will be shown. Click this link to get to the page required to link the assessment session to the main session.

Click the 'Add' check box to link the Main claimable Session to the Self Assessment Session.

Note: Multiple Self Assessment Sessions with differing Self Assessment Credit amounts can be linked to a single claimable Session.
